1. Product Overview
XVC772A102 is the core DSP signal processing PCB of ABB medium voltage converter & static excitation control system, fully integrated into complete rack assembly 3BHE032285R0102. It samples generator PT voltage and CT current analog signals, executes full AVR, PSS, UEL control algorithms, calculates accurate firing phase angles, and outputs isolated fiber optical trigger pulses to thyristor and IGCT power stacks. 10kV full galvanic fiber isolation separates low-voltage control circuit and 4.5kV high-power circuit to eliminate high-voltage backfeed damage. Built-in multi-parameter hardware fault detection logic triggers microsecond pulse block upon overvoltage, overcurrent, over-temperature, fiber loss, sync signal loss or excitation limit violation. Fault status is transmitted back to upper DCS/HMI via reverse fiber or fieldbus. Widely used in thermal/hydro/wind generator UNITROL excitation cabinets and ACS2000 medium voltage four-quadrant mill & mine drives. Adopts 3U modular rack design with hot-swap support, varnish coated PCB for dust/moisture resistance. ABB stopped new original production, refurbished surplus boards are standard spare parts for power plant maintenance and capacity retrofit.
